This installation in the Sellwood neighborhood of Portland, OR was a solution to spotty grass and a muddy side yard. The large flagstone set into medium river rock meanders through the garden like a dry river bed, the boarders of which carve out our planting space. Occasionally the “river” pools in an area creating an invitation to pause or even sit. In this way the element of water plays a role that might go unnoticed and yet is still supports a feeling of movement as it carries us through the garden. These images span 3 years.
